“The Long Durée” series went on display for the first time in June 2018 at Yantai Art Gallery, Shandong Province, China.

It subsequently travelled to Tai’an Art Museum, Tai’an, the Weihai Art Museum and Suochengli Library, Shandong Province, China. Five works will go on display at the National Museum Poland, Gdansk in 2019.

Two works from the series (‘Mum’ and ‘Dad’) were acquired by the Yale Centre for British Art in 2018.

Of the series Robert says: This group of drawings of the single human figure takes it’s core inspiration from R.B. Kitaj’s seminal 1977 exhibition ‘The Human Clay’ as a means to reflect how being part of a community supports and enables us to live our lives.
