“The Long Durée” series will go on display for the first time in June 2018 at Yantai Art Gallery, Shandong Province, China, curated by Wang Wen.

It will subsequently travel to Tai’an Art Museum, Tai’an and Suochengli Library, Shandong Province, China.

Of the series Robert says “I like the idea of being part of a community and wanted to reflect how this supports and enables us to live our lives. To help explore this idea, I decided to draw a group of portraits of my close family and friends. They range in age from 13 to 92 years old, and either live in Wivenhoe or have spent time here, as I do. This process led me to appreciate more deeply how important our local geography is to us, as it mirrors our bonds of friendship and family.”
